Our Vision…

Palette Wines is a philanthropic concept conceived as a platform to support the Australian arts industries. It is the brainchild of Alastair Hayes and Stacy Kewish-Lucas. Two hospitality professionals with over 30 years of experience between them.  

The idea came about after having observed all creative arts fields grinding to a halt and being abandoned during COVID 19 and wanting to be able to make a positive difference. Heart wrenching stories abound, and it’s affected people we know well: friends of ours who play in bands have not had work since February, nor are they likely to for the foreseeable future and indeed another of our friends, a migrant worker is now offering to draw in exchange for food.  

We understand the nature of the arts even in a stable economic period can be challenging and stressful; work may not be ongoing or regular, seldom are there sick pay or annual leave accruals, the industry can be quite competitive, and given the subjective nature of art, so too can value be subjective. 

We love art and music but we don’t know enough about the industries to know how to make a meaningful, ongoing contribution.  

What we do know quite well, however is wine. In our time in the industry and through training we know what good wine is and we would love to share it with you.
